Photowalks in Shanghai city

Some interesting pictures during out recent Shanghai trip. Also, check out what I found not-so-glamorous but interesting street view of Shanghai here.

Welcome to Shanghai!

Beside The Bund

Busy street in Xu Jiahui

Across the street from Jianghuo. Nothing much but good enough for family photo-taking.

Beautiful sculpture seen from the Nanpu Bridge. Take the city-touring bus called Big Bus Tour for RMB100 and you get a 24-hour pass to all the buses.

Solar-powered photo kiosk at The Bund. Get your pictures taken with Oriental Pearl Tower on the background and print them here.

Sight seeing with boat touring the Huangpu River

Just Glass. Interesting structure covered with glass panels

The up-coming Shanghai Tower (partly covered by cloud) is the world's 2nd tallest building after Burj Khalifa. It was still under construction at the time of visit.

'Floating' traditional house at Yu Garden

Hope to visit this place again in the near future. It's a modern city and you won't have too much trouble communicating even if you don't speak Chinese.

Petronas Twin Towers

The Visit
The Petronas Towers also known as the Petronas Twin Towers (Malay: Menara Petronas, or Menara Berkembar Petronas) are twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to the CTBUH's official definition and ranking, they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 until surpassed by Taipei 101, but remain the tallest twin buildings ever built.

The building is the landmark of Kuala Lumpur with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower. [Wikipedia]

Note: Pictures were taken during a visit to the the towers in December 2011.
