If you have a long weekend to spend, or you are staying nearby Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran, and you have not planed anything for the weekend, why not pay this lagoon park a visit. You'll be in for a day full of fun activities.

The park is located at Mengkabong river front, on the edge of Karambunai Peninsula and is just 5 minutes away from Karambunai Nexus Resort & Spa. It is owned and managed by the resort. It takes about 30 minutes driving from the city depending on traffic condition.

For Nexus Resort guests, entrance is free. For non-guest, fees of RM10 (adult) and RM5 (children) are applicable. Pretty affordable if you ask me.

You can choose to sit and relax or indulge in all sort of water sports for a fee.

There's a multi-purpose open type hall for company functions - family day, seminar, etc.

Let's play water polo. Anyone?

Forget about all the activities. Just sit back, relax, enjoy your favourite drink and watch sunset here.

Choose one of these and feel the thrill.
Alternatively, you can go to Nexus Resort as a non-guest (psttt...don't tell anyone ok..) and walk along the sandy beach. I have seen few people who just drive up to the resort and join the crowd at the extremely long beach.

Nexus Resort beach: People do surf here although the waves are not the ones you'd see in Hawaii or Gold Coast.

The grass is not the most pleasant sight currently due to the dry spell.
More pictures here.
Happy Easter and have a blessed weekend.
