Dragon Boat Race is held every year at Likas Bay in Kota Kinabalu featuring both local and international teams. Organised in conjunction with the Duan Wu festival, these traditional Chinese longboats are fitted with decorative dragon heads during the race. It is one of the main sporting events in the tourism calendar.
